Reverse Grid

A reverse grid is an idea — and a very spicy one — where the starting order of a race is based on the reverse of a previous result (like championship standings or qualifying). It’s never been used in an F1 Grand Prix, but it gets brought up every few years as a way to “spice up the show.” Supporters love the chaos and overtaking potential. Purists scream into their Fangio posters. So far, it’s been confined to sprint races and speculation — but never say never.
