Kerbs are the raised, painted edges of a track’s corners — often red and white, sometimes sausage-shaped and aggressive. They’re designed to mark the track limits and discourage drivers from cutting corners (literally). But since F1 drivers have a very loose relationship with the word “limit,” kerbs are often used as launchpads or extra grip zones — until someone breaks a floor or rips off a front wing. Use them right, and you’re a genius. Use them wrong, and you’re airborne.
