When did Max Verstappen join F1?

Max Verstappen made his Formula 1 debut at the 2015 Australian Grand Prix, driving for Toro Rosso (now Racing Bulls). He was just 17 years and 166 days old, making him the youngest driver in F1 history to start a race — a record that can never be broken under today’s super licence rules.

It took him only a year to get promoted to Red Bull Racing, where he won his very first race for the team at the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix. The rest, well… that’s the dynasty we’re watching now.
